Visa regulations Kyrgyzstan (10/01/2019)
Within the Framework of the Agreement on Visa-free Travel of Citizens of the Commonwealth of Independent States Member States on the Territory of its Participants, signed on October 9, 1992 in Bishkek, visa-free regime applies to citizens, holders of all categories of National Passports:
- Azerbaijan
- Armenia
- Georgia
- Moldova
As part of the Agreements between
- Government of the Republic of Belarus
- Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan
- Government of the Kyrgyz Republic
- Government of the Russian Federation
- Government of the Republic of Tajikistan
on mutual visa-free travels of citizens, signed on November 30, 2000 in Minsk in respect of citizens
- Republic of Belarus
- Republic of Kazakhstan
- The Russian Federation
- Republic of Tajikistan
Visa-free mode is in effect.
Within the Framework of Agreements concluded earlier (according to the principle of “tacit consent” applied in international law on continuation of application of international obligations until the stage of conclusion and entry into new international treaties), a visa-free regime is in force between the former USSR and the following foreign countries:
- The Socialist Republic of Viet Nam (Agreement between the Government of the USSR and the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the conditions of mutual travel of citizens dated 15 July 1981);
- The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (Agreement between the Government of the USSR and the Government of the DPRK on conditions of mutual trips of citizens of 22 January 1986);
- Republic of Cuba (Agreement between the Government of the USSR and the Government of the Republic of Cuba on conditions of mutual travel of citizens of 10 January 1985);
- The Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Agreement between the Government of the USSR and the Government of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic on visa-free regime for citizens of both countries who travel on official diplomatic or service passports dated 20 December 1984).
Within the Framework of Agreements between the Kyrgyz Republic and the following foreign countries, a visa-free regime is in force:
- Malaysia (visa-free regime up to 30 days, Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of Malaysia on partial abolition of the visa regime, signed on July 20, 1995 in Kuala Lumpur);
- Turkey (visa-free regime up to 60 days, Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Turkish Republic on mutual trips of citizens, signed on September 5, 2006 in Ankara);
- Ukraine (visa-free regime up to 90 days, Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on mutual trips of citizens, signed on February 25, 2004 in Kiev);
- Uzbekistan (visa-free regime up to 60 days, Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on mutual trips of citizens, signed on September 3, 2006 in Tashkent);
- Mongolia (visa-free regime up to 90 days, Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of Mongolia on conditions of mutual trips of citizens, signed on December 4, 1999 in Bishkek).
According to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “About introduction of a visa-free regime for citizens of some states for the period till 60 days” (the unilateral decision of the Kyrgyz Republic), citizens of the following states are released from visa requirements for the period till 60 days for entrance/exit of stay in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic:

- Hungary (visa-free regime up to 30 days, 1 November 1997 in Bishkek)
- PRC (no visa until 30 days, June 24, 2002 in Beijing) (Macao 14 days)
- Turkmenistan (visa-free regime up to 30 days, 6 March 2000 in Ashgabat)
- Islamic Republic of Iran (visa-free regime until 30 days, 8 March 2005 in Bishkek)
- Islamic Republic of Pakistan (visa-free regime until 30 days, 21 December 2003 in Tehran)
- Slovak Republic (visa-free regime up to 30 days, 1 April 2010 in Bishkek)
- Republic of Korea (no visa until 30 days, 30 November 2010 in Seoul)
- Indonesia (no visa until 30 days, 23 September 2011 in New York)
- Republic of India (visa-free regime up to 90 days, 19 July 2013 in Bishkek)
- Republic of Poland (visa-free regime 90 days within 180 days, 6 June 2013 in Bishkek)
- The State of Qatar (visa-free regime up to 90 days, 8 December 2014 in Doha)
- Republic of Estonia (visa-free regime up to 90 days, based on the note of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic dated 15.04.2015)
- French Republic (visa-free regime up to 90 days within 180 days) (diplomatic passport of the Kyrgyz Republic – Agreement on mutual exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports, signed in Bishkek on 30.03.2016)
- Italian Republic (visa-free regime up to 90 days within 180 days) (KR diplomatic passport – Agreement between the Government of the Italian Republic and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on mutual exemption from short-term visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports, signed in Paris on 15.04.2016).
- Kingdom of Morocco (visa-free regime up to 90 days within 180 days) (Visa regulations Agreement between the Government of Kyrgyzstan and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco on exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports, signed in Rabat on 30.03.2017).
