Andijan
Andijan is rightly called the Pearl of the Golden Valley and is located in the southeast of the Fergana Valley. People of different nations have been living together in this city for many years.
Of all the cities of the beautiful valley, the city is considered the oldest. Besides the beautiful nature, this city has a unique history and unusual traditions. The city was founded before our time on the territory through which the Great Silk Road passed. The ancient town was first mentioned in the sources of the 9th century. The famous poet and military leader Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, representative of the great Timurid dynasty, founder of the Great Mughal Empire in India – was born in this city. Babur’s house has been preserved and opened to the public until today.
