The climate in Kazakhstan
The climate is strongly continental and dry. Its peculiarity is the great difference between winter and summer temperatures, the dryness of the air, the low amount of precipitation in most of the territory, the long severe winter and short summer in the north, the short winter and hot summer in the south. The average temperature in July is +19°C in the north and +30°C in the south, while January temperatures range from -18°C to -3°C in the north and south respectively.
The best time to visit the country is spring (April to June) and autumn (September to November); it can be too hot in summer.
